    Re: adjectives, a friend of mine received exactly the same advice from her lecturer when she was taking creative writing paper.

    If you’re at all interested in poetry or other forms of creative writing, it’s amazing how much work can be improved simply by stripping out adjectives.

    Yes, adjectives are great when used sparingly in the right way and place. I have dabbled as a freelance writer and I was given one piece of advice: make careful usage of adjectives.
