Got this email from a TV producer and thought I’d share it with you – the smartest, wittiest, coolest blog readership anywhere.
I probably have about two dozen stories that would be in the horrifying category (and probably another two dozen that were inspiring), but since I have a minor reputation to uphold, I’m going to sit this one out.
“Tell us your story about the successes and failures of meeting people online, and it may become part of a new TV series.”
Lemme know if you decide to contribute.
Have an amazing weekend.
Whether you call it dating, mating or hooking up, trying to start relationships online represents a whole new set of opportunities and dangers. Tell us your story about the successes and failures of meeting people online, and it may become part of a new TV series. Co-produced by Marc Weiss, the creator of the award-winning PBS series P.O.V., and former colleagues of Peter Jennings, the series will be built around first-person stories gathered online.
A pilot for the series will focus on everything from dating to mating to hooking up — from the most inspiring to the most horrifying — and how the Internet has transformed the quest for relationships, as well as the people who’ve tried it. Stories can be submitted to www.meeting-stories.org.
