After working as a writer's assistant on the final season of "Ellen", he was selected to be a member of the Warner Brothers' Writers Workshop, the most prestigious sitcom writing program in Hollywood. Following written credits with VH1's "Random Play" and Nickelodeon's "As Told By Ginger", Evan turned his focus to feature films. His screenplay "Freeing Mr. Jiggs" (co-written with Barron Ebenstein) finished in the Top 3 of 7500 scripts in Miramax's first Project Greenlight contest on HBO, and his independent script, "Pahrump, NV", finished in the Top 20 of the IFC screenwriter's lab.
