About Dating Coach Evan Marc Katz |
|
 |

Founder of online dating consulting service E-Cyrano and author of Why You're Still Single: Things Your Friends Would Tell You If You Promised Not To Get Mad" and "I Can't Believe I'm Buying this Book: A Commonsense Guide to Successful Internet Dating," Evan Marc Katz has established himself as America's leading dating expert.
Working at JDate in 2002, Evan realized the immense value of an eye-catching profile. This inspired him to start E-Cyrano.com, an online dating profile writing service, in 2003, six months before “I Can’t Believe I’m Buying This Book” came out to critical raves in Time Magazine and Publishers Weekly.
But after writing hundreds of online dating profiles, and hiring a staff of writers for E-Cyrano to keep up with demand, it was clear that there was more to online dating than a uniquely written essay. And as satisfied clients came back for more assistance, Evan expanded his suite of services to meet them. From online dating, to dating coaching, to relationship coaching, Evan has helped thousands of singles since 2004 gain power and control over their love lives.
Evan’s second book, “Why You’re Still Single” (co-written with Linda Holmes), highlighted his unique insights about the opposite sex, and instantly made him a media mainstay. Since then, he has been featured in the New York Times, The Wall St. Journal, and Cosmopolitan, and appeared on CNN, The Today Show, The Early Show, The Tyra Banks Show, and The Rachael Ray Show. Evan’s on-air presence has enabled him to work with many of the top dating companies, including Match.com, Yahoo! Personals, JDate.com, Cupid.com, Date.com, and Great Expectations. He was even named the Harlequin Romance Report’s Valentine’s Day spokesperson in 2006, doing interviews about mastering real-life dating encounters.
A passionate and provocative speaker, Evan's speeches have entertained audiences cross-country. Whether keynoting the International Online Dating Conference in San Francisco, addressing a room of 250 singles at the Washington Hilton, or running a series of dating seminars for JDate at Club Med, his boundless energy and insight is contagious to listeners of all ages. In 2007, he co-founded Thought-Rocket.com, a consulting firm, which creates revenue by
optimizing user experience, developing compelling brand strategies, and creating consumer
loyalty. Just last year, Evan launched Finding The One Online, a 7 CD series which teaches
singles to get the most out of their online dating experience.
But Evan’s greatest joy is being a dating coach to individuals who are committed to finding happiness. Dozens of Evan’s private clients have fallen in love, gotten married, and started families – all with just a few weeks of coaching. Like a translator, Evan’s helps men understand women and women understand men. His straightforward, easy-to-follow advice can be accessed in his free newsletter every week.
Evan is so committed to providing dating advice to his loyal readers that he has been answering online questions for free for over two years. And although his blog (ranked #2 on the entire internet by Blogged.com) is called Advice From A Single Dating Expert, Evan finally got hitched in 2008. He swears that he didn’t get smarter when he got married; he got married when he got smart.
Evan currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, and divides his time writing, dating coaching, speaking and consulting. |
