I got engaged last week!

I gotta admit it’s been a loooong road to this. Honestly, there were times where I really thought I may never find someone. Then felt stupid for thinking that and told myself my life is great in so many other ways. I hated it that quote that went something like – “you’ll realize why all the others didn’t work out when you meet the one.” Well now I know, like REALLY know. My goodness, thank god you’re in this business to help women find this person. Thank god you never give up.

The thing with Matt is, I may not have agreed to even meet him a few years ago. He is divorced with a son. I was 38 when we met, him 41. Let’s be honest, if a guy that age hasn’t had a serious relationship/marriage, something is up (exceptions, sure).

Sounds trite, but it’s amazing to have a true partner in life. I feel like I hit the jackpot on Matt. Not only does he love me, make me laugh – but he actually LOVES to clean and do laundry.

Anyway, all kidding aside, I just wanted to thank you for being the person to guide me along this path.

Mark and I are ENGAGED!!!! We got engaged on Leap Day at Rehoboth Beach, about two weeks before everything went crazy and shut down. The timing worked out perfectly because we were supposed to go to DC that weekend to see friends and we are able to get together with people. So, you have another success story!

We are planning a wedding for November 14 (for now). We were a little optimistic when we picked the date back in March. We are excited to be getting married, but I would not recommend planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic!
